Engagement Photography Session at Rios-Lovell Winery, Livermore, CA

As a photographer, I have always found it interesting how well you can get to know someone in just a few hours.

Arthi and Rishi were no exception – but their kind nature made it especially easy!  They chose Rios-Lovell winery for their Engagement Party – in the Livermore wine region.  Having shot a wedding there in 2011, I was excited since they have many gorgeous shooting locations – from vineyards, to fountains, a pretty garden area with and adorable bridge… and a little patio area with European flair!

Wisely, they chose to do their engagement portraits in the hours before the party started, while they we dressed and ready for action.

By the time we finished the engagement portraits, family had arrived. We gathered the families for groups of portraits. This is something we’ve been seeing more of lately – taking time at your engagement party to do some family portraits – and we think is a positive trend!  For those families who don’t get to see one another very often, it’s a great way to be sure to have beautiful memories to hold on to.

Arthi and Rishi are very talented, ambitious, and inspiring individuals – and I’m not the only one who thinks so! Their commitment to organic farming and sustainability will help us reawaken our connection to the land!
